Sunday School at United

United Lutheran Church provides an energetic and educational Sunday school program for youth from preschool through high school, along with a separate adult program. The Sunday school program runs from September to June and begins at 9:45 AM each Sunday morning.

The curriculum used for preschool through fifth grade is "Life Together," published by Augsburg Fortress. Using relational and visual learning, the lectionary-based curriculum focuses on the connection of worship, education, and preaching to help learners link faith and their daily lives. "Life Together" connects the rhythms, rituals and significance of the church year to daily life, providing intentional home connections that involve parents in the Christian nurturing of their children.

The curriculum for sixth through eighth grade combines various materials and media and has included community service activities. The seventh and eighth grade classes include the age levels preparing for confirmation.

The high school class meets in the teacher's home and uses contemporary Christian music along with the lessons. The lessons focus on a particular topic or a portion of the Bible, with the intent of preparing the students to live as lights of Christ in this world. Lessons from past classes have included a study of the life of Joseph, a lesson on covenant prayer, a look at truth and authority, and the walk of the believer: the challenge to live a life of faith, to be supported in that endeavor, and, through the gift of God's grace, to love one another.

An adult Sunday school class meets each Sunday at 9:45 AM in the fellowship hall. Typically taught by the pastor, topics covered are Bible study, issues such as world religions, and other areas of interest.
